M.W.M. (Motoren-Werke Mannheim AG) was founded in the early 1920s at Mannheim, Germany. In 1924 they introduced the 15-18 hp "Motorpferd" (in German: motor-horse) tractor with a two-cylinder diesel engine; this tractor shares the honour, together with the Benz-Sendling, of being the world's first diesel-engined tractor.
